FINAL FANTASY XIV

Final Fantasy XIV online is a MASSIVE global gaming platform. Millions of people from literally all over the world log in and play every day. For some in Australia and New Zealand however, a pretty bad lag in the latency with a gaming server made the experience not as fun. To solve this problem we teamed up with the crew at Square Enix to produce an announcement that new and improved servers would in fact be coming to those in need and they would be local, baby!
We built a whole design system based on fiber optic cables that were transfering data at high speed. This element was used as a framing device and a visual motif that carried through to the entire 360 presentation of OOH elements such as bus wraps and murals in NZ, to the overall web design of the release.
